Leaving Abania to get to Kosova was a breeze. We had received news from our mentor that this month we would get the opportunity to partner up with a local church in the area, and we had already booked an Airbnb for Kosova. We weren’t sure how we would get to our Airbnb, but as soon as we got off the bus there were people waiting for us with warm smiles and open arms. I was truly grateful. They took us to a restaurant to eat, and they arranged a place for us to stay that was about 5 minutes from the church. We were so thankful. We jumped into ministry right away with The Fellowship of the Lord’s People in Pristina Kosovo (BPZ).

The ministry had many secondhand shops in the community, and we got to help by sorting and categorizing the items as sellable or not-sellable. The next ministry we got to help with was Mercy Ministry. They shared the gospel and blessed people with food and clothes. In addition to working with the secondhand shops and Mercy Ministry, we worked with kids ministry. I really enjoyed getting to work with the Ark of Life Ministry truck. Ark of Life Ministry was a portable truck they used with a stage for puppet shows. Also, the truck had room for face paints, and we got a chance to paint designs on the kids’ faces. They were so hyped! One little girl said, “I’ve never seen anyone that looks like you. You are so beautiful, and I’m glad you’re here.” That really touched my heart!

The next ministry was evangelizing on Saturday mornings in unreached villages. We would go from door to door to talk to people and hand out Christian tracts. The people were so nice and welcoming. They invited us to come into their home and have tea and coffee. They even offered us food if they were cooking.

It was my pleasure to work with a church so passionate to reach the lost and help people in need. BPZ is a representation of what Matthew 5:14 You are the light of the world-like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.” Their light is shining in Kosova. People around see their good deeds and will know the Father’s love through what they are doing. A piece of my heart was left in Kosova!

  1. Such great ministry and so many opportunities to bring Jesus to Kosovo. I agree with the little girl. You are so beautiful, inside and out. So glad you are the hands and feet of our Savior!
